[SuSE 9.3] Desesperante error con KDE y aplicaciones GTK

Hola, escribo aquí porque no he encontrado solución a mi problema leyendo todo manual de SuSE y KDE que he encontrado, y en los grupos de SuSE tampoco responden...

Mi problema es el siguiente, A finales de Julio, o comienzos de agosto se lanzó una actualización de seguridad para las librerías de KDE, después de eso, los programas que trabajan con GTK+, como firefox, mozilla, gimp, acrobat reader, gaim, en fin todas esas se empezaron a caer sin ningún indicio de razón.

Cuando las ejecuto desde el shell me sale casi siempre el mismo error (la excepción es firefox):

:'( Qué puedo hacer... ya no se me ocurren ideas, y lo necesito porque el eclipse también trabaja con GTK...

Por ahora lo que puedo hacer es no usar KDE, sino otro, porque el problema solo se presenta sobre KDE... ahh olvidé mencionar que ya atualicé el KDE al 3.4.2 level a.

Espero que me puedan iluminar sobre este oscuro camino :P

Una nueva idea se me ocurrió, pero no sé bien cómo hacerla :P ¿cómo hago downgrade al GTK2? Actualmente tengo la versión 2.7.4-8, pero en el CD está la 2.6.algo :P
