Tengo una bronca con el cisco 870, en una version de consola

Creo que le di en su mouser a la imagen que viene de fabrica, ya que me fallo cuando la quice actualizar.

Como le hago para borrar el flash actual y cargar la imagen?

Cuando lo reseteo o le doy reload me saca directamente al prompt de rommon#
y obviamente no funcionan los comandos para configurarlo

En inernter me econtre con este proceso:




Step 1 Use the appropriate commands to enter all the required variables and any optional variables described in preceding sections.

Step 2 Enter the tftpdnld command as follows:

rommon 1 > tftpdnld -r

Note The -r variable is optional. Entering this variable downloads and boots the new software but does not save the software to flash memory. You can then use the image that is in flash memory the next time you enter the reload command.

The router begins to download the new file.

If you mistakenly entered yes, you can enter Ctrl-C or Break to stop the transfer before the flash memory is erased.




Pero cuando empieza a descargar me marca un timeout, el procesos a terminado prematuramente.

hombre, pos es d elos procesos mas complicados q existen en este tipo de hardware cisco, debes introducir un nuevo ios por medio de algun servidor tftp, en el modo rommon el te deja configurar algunos parametros, como la ip de la interfaz, para que se pueda comunicar con un pc y por medio del tftp subirle una nueva ios compatible con el router...
la verdad estos procesos describirlos es algo tedioso, debes buscar info en internet, ahi encontarras como solucionar tu problema
