Mi placa de video no funciona

He comprado hace una semana una placa madre nueva (Intel D865GLCL) y he probado en ella una tarjeta de video ATI Powercolor 9250 de 128Mb AGP 8x y cuando la inserto he enciendo, la máquina se apaga rapidamente. He pensado en 2 PROBABILIDADES:
1- La tarjeta de video es de 3.3V. He buscado en papa google y no he podido saber si es o no 3.3V y tampoco dice en la caja, lo que sí es que mi motherboard Intel, no soporta tarjetas de 3.3V. (Si alguien sabe el voltaje y me lo puede decir, lo agradecería enormemente)
2- La fuente no abastece. He comprado también un gabinete para gamers X-Blade con 3 ventiladores internos, luces, panel frontal lcd de temperatura y fuente de 320-370W reales (supuestamente). Y pienso que tal vez no esté abasteciendo bien la fuente, ya que esta tarjeta tiene como requisito fuente de 300W..
Escucho las opiniones de ustedes, y si alguien tiene otra probabilidad tb.. Gracias desde ya..

Que marca es la fuente?, depronto es generica y esos 320W que dice sean de muentiritas.

la fuente es Satellite, vino con el gabinete..

tu board es AGP de cuanto? y la video es AGP de cuanto? si es AGP 8X es de 1.5V.

8x es la placa de video.. la motherboard indica que soporta 8x.. Entonces todas las 8x son 1.5 V?

sip, es de 1.5V, y si tu video no está para trabajar a más voltaje, me temo que no funcionará. Hay algunas tarjetas de video que pueden trabajar en 8 4 y 2 x, pero otras no

Bueno, el tema es el siguiente, mi placa de video es de 8x.. Y mi board (intel d865glcl) soporta 8x.. Xq no funciona entoncs? Que posibilidad hay de que la pude haber quemado en mi PCchips 925, en la cual la probe y tampoco funciono?

Lo que dice el manual en la especificación de AGP:
"Desktop Board D865GBF/D865GLC is only compatible with 0.8 V and 1.5 V AGP cards.
The AGP connector is keyed for 0.8 V and 1.5 V AGP cards only; the connector is not mechanically
compatible with legacy 3.3 V AGP cards. Do not attempt to install a legacy 3.3 V AGP card.
AGP is a high-performance interface for graphics-intensive applications, such as 3D graphics.
AGP is independent of the PCI bus and is intended for exclusive use with graphical display devices.
The AGP 3.0 connector supports 8x, 4x, and 1x AGP cards."
Y luego en la especificación de voltaje:
"The AGP connector supports 0.8 V (4x and 1x) and 1.5 V (8x) AGP cards. The desktop board has an integrated AGP card retention mechanism (RM)."

Ahora, ¿por qué no me funciona? Cumple todo bien la parte de voltaje. ¿Será que la tarjeta de video está quemada??

Otra cosa que leí en el manual de la placa de video y que creo que no tiene importancia en el problema, es lo sgte:
"FOR SYSTEMS USING INTEL CHIPSETS
Windows 95 users must be running OEM Service Release (OSR) version 2.1, or later, and have VGARTD.VxD installed (in the Systems folder); otherwise AGP functionality will not be available

The program USBSUPP.EXE (supplied with Windows 95 OSR 2.1) is also required, as this installs the VMM32.VxD memory manager that is needed by AGP's DIME feature. DirectX 5 or greater is needed to support AGP's DIME feature.

Windows 98 natively provides this support as long as DirectX 5.0 (or greater) is installed. You may, however, require an updated VGARTD.VxD to support newer Intel chipsets. Your system vendor should have included the appropriate GART file as part of you Windows install image. However, if you experience display problems following installation, you should obtain the latest Virtual GART (AGP) Driver from the motherboard manufacturer.
