Oil Prices.
My current opinion is that Oil prices are higher than they should be in a global consumer society (based on the forces of supply and demand). I see this as a necessary evil, as it will force the consumers in first world countries to evaluate alternatives to the use of petrol. The less oil burnt the better, for the sake of the environment.
