Ya intenté eso, manejo el inglés a la perfección, pero cuando le doy en "here", me lleva a un index del servidor donde hay varios archivos, y no se cual es . . .
 
Cuando le das click en here te sale la opcion de bajar un archivo .iso... ese es el archivo... si le das en bittorrent te manda a servidores p2p

De hecho, debería editarse el primer post con las nuevas herramientas o enlaces que valgan la pena y eliminar estos posts basura.

Mi aporte:
XnView un EXCELENTE visor/editor/conversor de imágenes (y de muchiisiiiimos formatos más como Corel, Photoshop, Iconos, CAD, etc etc)
Yo tengo dos "versiones"
Una mínima (pequeñita como la mínima del sitio de XnView pero con un DLL que me moles´to en los equipos de la oficina.
Y otra FULL con todos los plugins y vainas.
He hecho todo lo que antes podía hacer con IrfanView, con ACDSEE y he podido hacer muchiiiisimas cosas más que con ellos no hice.
Para mí, es la aplicación más bacana que he encontrado este año (me gusta mucho buscar freeware de propósito específico y cuando encuentro una de estas joyas no la suelto.

Tenés toda la razón.

Los temas tienen objetivos distintos, ya que las personas se hayan desviado del tema es otra cosa. El otro foro queda para utilidades para el manejo de memorias USB y esta para aplicaciones de propósito general que sean portatiles ;)
 
Bueno, también mi aporte:
Ya que nombraron XNView, les cuento que IrfanView es parecida (cuál es mejor será decisión de cada uno), y también se puede portar pues se instala y guarda su configuración en un sólo directorio, además de incluir una opción para asociar los archivos para que se abran con ella.
La web es http://www.irfanview.com, no sé si habrá hecho un paquete "portable", pero con sólo instalarlo (y opcionalmente los plugins que añaden mucha funcionalidad) y luego copiar la carpeta donde se instaló funciona perfectamente (ha sobrevivido a varias reinstalaciones de Windows (XP, 2000, Vista) sin cambios en mi computadora).

Bajar alguno de los bootusb q' es una imagen de disco y despues pasar a USB o utiliza el ALCOHOL para ver el contenido y pasar como carpeta al pendrive... los archisos son o .ISO o .IMG
