Subject: Re: AMD Athlon XP 2700+ production ended? / Semptron Equivalent (KMM876353V19944L0KM)
To: XXX@gmail.com
Hello XXX,
Thank you for contacting AMD's Technical Service Center.
Yes, the Athlon XP2700+ is now out of production, the Sempron processor
is not a processor that is competing with the XP processors, therefore,
there is not an Sempron equivalent. I also need to let you know that
the Sempron processor is also being obsolete in Socket A format, all
socket A processor are at the end of life, as of June of this year we
will not longer manufacture any Socket A products, however, there
should still be enough product in the channels for you to be able to
buy the Athlon XP or Sempron processors. The fastest Sempron processor
is the Sempron 3100+, and even that processor is slower than the
XP2700+.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
contact me.
Regards,
Jesus
